Eau La La! Sleek MakeUP's New Waterproof Luxury Liners

These gorgeous new multi-tasking pencils from Sleek MakeUP come in a range of 20 shades and can be used on eyes, brows and lips.  Both waterproof and smudegeproof, these are the perfect products to have in your kit for the hot summer days...which will be here imminently I hope!

Highly pigmented and creamy, these budget friendly Eau La La liners (£3.99 each from Superdrug stores and online at www.sleekmakeup.com) are available now and compare very well to their higher end counterparts.

These days I don't tend to wear bright colours over my whole lids, but it's still nice to play with colour in a more subtle way by lining the eyes with an eyecatching shade and pepping up my normal taupe/brown look.

As you'll see below, these pencils also work well on the lips.  Red Sky Night is actually a bright bubblegum pink, reminiscent of MAC Viva Glam Gaga, and although a little dry, as long as you wear a balm underneath and a gloss on top, you get a great long wearing effect.  I have my eye on Moulin Rouge next.  Which shades have taken your fancy?

Nails Inc. Event: Preview of Gorgeous Upcoming Ranges!

Nails Inc. have a busy few months ahead of them with the launch of a vast range of exciting new collections. I've mentioned before that it's my favourite nail polish range simply for the quality and longevity of its polishes, not to mention the colour range, so on last Thursday Angel and I popped down to Inc Space to check out all the new upcoming collections...

Here I am so distracted by all the pretty polishes I couldn't tear my eyes away from them to look at the camera... :D

First up is the Sprinkles Collection consisting of four shades of mattified glitter polishes.  Available from June, they are £11 each.
Topping Lane, Pudding Lane, Sweets Way and Sugarhouse Lane
Next up is the gorgeous Nail Jewellery range, one of my favourites.  I have a NOTD with Burlington Arcade coming up for you in a few days.  These polishes are so much nicer than standard glitters and give a more sophisticated effect to the nails.  Available from April, £11 each.
Burlington Arcade, Picadilly Arcade, Royal Arcade and Princes Arcade
I'm very late to the party with magnetic polish, and now you can get fishnet designs.  These are £13 each and I will show you Soho - a chrome metallic - very soon.
Olympics fever has even taken grip in the nailcare world testified by this Gold, Silver and Bronze Metallic Collection.  I don't have a close up shot of these polishes, but the bronze shade - almost a rose gold - is my winner.  Available from June, it comes as a collection for £25.
The most exciting thing about the Neons collection are the names of these polishes: Holland Park, Kensington Park Road, Notting Hill Gate, Portobello, Westbourne Grove and Ladbroke - my stomping grounds! I picked up a couple of these at the event, but I definitely want the whole collection...Represent!  My top picks are the Pink (Notting Hill Gate) and Purple (Holland Park).
Juicy Sheers: Henley Regatta below
The Autumn Collection reflects the main colour trends for the season - Richmond Terrace, a rich glossy plum is my top pick.  The set is available from late August for £25.
This gorgeous bottle is being brought to you in honour of the Queen's Jubilee.  It's a limited edition full coverage glitter featuring red, blue and silver particles.  Nails can be patriotic too, ya'know?!  Available from May for £15 in a gift box.

Couture is a new concept where your favourite polish can personalised by name and cap.  This is such a great gift idea and you can easily follow the customisation steps online or in store at Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge or Edinburgh.  A silver capped polish is £16 or if you want a studded or crytal cap, it's £20.  I'm loving the Chanel inspired gift box they come in.
I got the chance to get a great Nails Inc. manicure and went for these two beauties
...Aaaand of course I smudged all the hard work within minutes.  The call of nature was too strong to overcome! Boooo.  But you can see how nice it could have been, right?
Lots of NOTDs coming your way soon my lovelies!  Girl is KITTED OUT.

All the good pictures, you know, the ones in focus, bright, good lighting, etc were taken by the fair hands of Angel Armogida.  My lil old Lumix got itself scratched on a particularly wild night in NYC and hasn't been the same since.  Don't tell it, but I'm considering dabbling with the dark arts of DSLR soon.  Sssshh!

Kerastase Cristalliste Event

Last night I popped down to Clipso Salon on Windmill St with Angel Armogida for a pink pamper party to celebrate the launch of Kerastase's new Cristalliste range of haircare.  I'm already a huge fan of Masquintense (it truly is worth the money compared to other high end haircare out there *cough* Federic Fekkai *cough*) so I'm really looking forward to getting stuck into this range which is formulated to give long hair cleansed roots, smoother ends and overall luminosity.

I'm vainly trying to grow out my hair, and finding the ends are worsening in condition by the day as I have greasy roots and therefore need to wash my hair practically every day.  I'm really hoping the Luminous Perfecting Shampoo (I have both the formulations for thick and fine hair), Conditioner and Luminous Perfecting Essence will help me prolong the time between trims and finally let me get some serious length to my hair. The good old days of being able to wash and dry my hair without any styling products are long gone, but at the same time, because my hair is so fine and quick to get oily, I try to avoid using heavy products, so the lightweight Perfecting Essence looks like it's going to be a winner.  I'll report back in a month or so on how my hair is getting on with Cristalliste.

Some snaps of the night below - the good ones were taken by Angel, of course!

What's In My Bag?

Since I started this blog I've wanted to do a 'what's in my bag' post, but never got around to it.  Making a video of this type of this is much more straightforward, so I hijacked Angel's YouTube channel to bring you the contents of my new bag! Some bits I picked up on my trip to New York last month, but I'll still be doing a few posts on the make up items I purchased.

What's In My Bag vids are some of my favourites on YouTube as I love being nosey, so I hope you all enjoy!

And I apologise profusely in advance for saying 'shizzles'... I'm blaming it on nerves, 'kay?!
