Insolence

This scent ain't for the faint hearted, so all you gals who love your Marc Jacobs Daisy-clean fumes might struggle with this one, but I adore it.  There's something about ginger skin which gives it a Teflon quality when it comes to perfume lasting power but this little Guerlain sucker hangs around me in a heady mist until home time.

I'm pretty rubbish at describing scents and the Guerlain website if far too Flash-happy for me to direct you there (you might not come back here!), so I'll reproduce their description here for you:

Not sure so I'd personally describe it as a fruity floral, to me it's like a rich, musky, exotic oriental.  It's a really sexy night time perfume, but I'm happy to spritz it on at 7am and bounce.

I picked up the box set in the Boots Christmas sale for about £23 which was an amazing bargain.  I've wanted Insolence since it was first released but it always seemed a little too ballsy for me and I wussed out and went for her younger, sweeter sister, My Insolence, which is probably my all time favourite scent as it reminds me of a really happy time in life and I've been through a good few bottles of it.  Normally I hate 'reinterpretations' of perfumes, such as Gucci Rush 2 and Dior Addict 2, but when Insolence is finished I'll probably go back to My Insolence.

On another note, my blogging mojo is returning slowly but surely...I've become a gym bunny lately and am doing some evening classes as well as working full time, so it can be really hard to discipline myself to put time aside, but I know the more I do it the more I'll want to...come back blogging mojo!
