Current Candle Loves

I love having a deliciously scented candle burning while I'm blogging and wanted to share a few of my favourites with you.  I got a really good deal on all of these Yankee Candles from T K Maxx, they were about £6.99 to £9.99 - nearly half the typical RRP.

I probably wouldn't have picked Clean Cotton for myself - it was a present - but it's turned out to have a really lovely scent, especially if you've got people coming round.  I love gourmand scents but I bet the infamous Vanilla Cupcake never hits discount stores.  I made do with Blueberry Scone and Lemon Zest.  They smell incredible to me but may be too sweet for some - especially if you live with a man! Sweet Pea is nice, but I don't think I'd repurchase.

I was sent the NEOM Serenity candle and while I wouldn't have selected that particular scent myself as I don't really get the Vanilla coming through, it is quite comforting and the quality of the candle is amazing - it's made from natural vegetable waxes and pure essential oils rather than paraffin wax and synthetic fragrances. It's also burning a lot more evenly than the Yankee Candles, but that may be to do with it being in a smaller container.

I'm getting through my candles at a rate of knots, so please leave your recommendations below on any others I should try!

  1. Nice candles :) Lemon zest is very nice, very energizing and springy :) I really love candles and I collect them when I smell something i really like. I really wish I could recommend you some but I am just a blind person when it comes to shopping for them... I like all varieties. Soy candles seem to be really nice as well, because they have less burning gunk when you use them =)

  2. Yeah Lemon Zest is gorge, to me it's really sweet and not too citrus. I must check out soy candles as I'm not sure how healthy it is to have questionable wax candles burning all the time - where does the wax go?! Into the air and thereby, into your lungs!

  4. Lemon Zest sounds nice! I'm a big fan of Yankee Candles, especially the Christmas ones, though I love any cherry ones.

  5. I love candles although I seem to burn them much more in the Winter than Summer. I can recommend the Wood Wick ones - they smell amazing and last for ages!
