EOTN: Sleek Molten Metals

My first dabble with Sleek Molten Metals was a bit of a let down, but I am happy to report I had a little more success with them second time around.  While I do wish they didn't crease as much, I have to admit when first applied they are truly stunning and really make my eyes stand out more than any other cream shadows I have.  I also suggest using them a highlighter by dabbing on the middle of you bottom lip or centre of you eyelid.

This time I started by applying Urban Decay Primer Potion to my lids, let it dry then applied the Motel Metal in Gold Leaf all over my lid with a synthetic flat shader brush.  I then used Pewter in the middle of my lid and inner corner to highlight.  I also added some under my lower lash line.  To add some definition to my crease I applied a matte black shadow.  I used MAC Blacktrack Fluidline to create a bit of a cat's eye.

I really like the effect it has along my lower lash line.  In a bid to prolong it's wear I dusted some E.L.F. Studio HD Powder over my lids with a MAC 224.  While it did dull the beautiful metallic shimmer a bit, Kandee Johnson's rule of sealing a cream with a powder did prove useful in preventing the immediate creasing I experience first time around.  I then applied MUFE Smoky Lash Aqua, which holds a curl very well.

I was crease free for about 2 hours, but the creasing after that wasn't too bad and I didn't feel self conscious on my night out.  I'll definitely use my Molten Metals again although I still think £7 is a little steep considering you can get one of their 12 pan palettes like the fantastic Storm, for £5.99.

  14. This is a really gorgeous look. I really want to get my hands on the Molten Metals palette. I have one of the liquid metals from Illamasqua but find that it creases so easily and isn't easy to apply.
