Have You Tried 17 Cosmetics Lately?

How pretty are these 17 Spring Collection vintage-inspired eye shadow palettes? I briefly glanced at them on a couple of blogs and for some reason thought they were No7, but I spotted them in Boots yesterday for £5.49 each.  17 is running a 3 for 2 offer so I picked up a gorgeous Mirror Shine lipstick for free!

I was only going to pick up the neutrals palette because these are my colours and well, the packaging is pink! But when I swatched the pastels palette I had to have it too as the pale silverly lilac colour is gorgeous.  I can see myself only packing these two palettes for my next holiday as they have everything I'd need for day to night eyes.

For a cheap highstreet brand, the quality of these eyeshadows is astounding.  They leave L'Oreal and the likes at the starting blocks.  The depth of pigmentation and creaminess of the neutrals palette reminds me of Ingot shadows.  The palettes are limited edition and if you like neutrals, you need the pink one!

I'm already in love with Bee Hive Mirror Shine lipstick and knew I wanted to use the 3 for 2 offer to expand my collection.  I chose the pillar box red 'Hollywood'.  It's such a true, gorgeous red and feels so daring when you twist it out of the tube, however the effect is more of a moisturising lip stain and it will be taking over from my all-time-favourite red lippy, MAC Viva Glam Cyndi at only £4.59.

Have you got any 17 recommendations for me? What's your favourite product from the range?

  7. They don't sell those vintage palettes in Boots stores in Thailand. They look so beautiful. I usually like 17 products..because they are cheap and good qualities as well. I love their mineral compact, Shine-free liquid foundation and single black eyeshadow.

  13. They've sold out in all the Boots stores I visited and that's 5 so far!

I rather like the look of the neutral palette because of the pretty packaging, but I've got to the stage that I'm not desperate for new makeup collections, which is a good thing! Otherwise I'd be hunting Boots and ebay up and down trying to get my mitts on one.

The same goes for the Grace lipstick too! I've been trying to track one down with my new £5 voucher clutched in my hands, but it seems they're also gone.

Ah well - at least I got my Mac Pink Power and my priorities straight :D
