Almost There! - What MAC e/s Should Complete My First Pro Palette?

I've been working towards filling my my first MAC Pro eye shadow palette for almost two year now and I'm nearly there! It makes me feel a little sick to think this thing in total is worth over £130 when you can get amazing palettes from places like Coastal Scents for about a tenth of that, but such is the lure of MAC.  Thankfully I picked up four of them for £5 each on Portobello (Twinks, Star Violet, Sketch and Woodwinked) which saved a bit.  I'll pick up the final one in Miami next month and hopefully the weakish dollar will be kind to me :)

So, which one should I get?!

My wish list has featured this lot for ages (Honesty, Wedge, Antiqued,  Grand Entrance [LE], Shroom, Retrospeck, Coppering)but is there a MAC e/s out there other than these which I really can't be without?  My palette is a bit same-y, definitely a neutral theme going on, but I'm open to all suggestions!

I'm very sad and have labelled up the lid to the corresponding eye shadows, but at least I'm not too much of a MAC geek to know their names going on the colour alone!

  2. Just my 2 cents but I find Grand Entrance not very different from Phloof, Retrospeck is pretty but very chuncky, and shroom is like invisible and really blah. (I'm NC15 for reference). I think you're missing a dark color, like Smut (dark cool brown) or even Print or Typographic.
Wedge would be a nice neutral satin crease color but I prefer Mystery, which is really underrated in my opinion. Perfect to give depth on a light wash. HTH!

  3. You need Smut in your life hehe It's gorgeous when used to smoke out an eye look without being jet black. Or Patina is another lovely neutral that is very underrated, or you could go for something mad like Blue Flame which I have on my eyes in the banner on my blog :)

  5. I love Patina, think it would go great in this palette. Lovely selection by the way!

  6. Patina is on my wishlist :D How about a matte brown for deepening the crease? I love Swiss Chocolate and Charcoal Brown for that, Swiss Chocolate is so smooth for a matte and especially good if you use warm toned colours. I don't think I'll ever buy Carbon, I have plenty of good quality matte blacks in my Sleek palettes :D

  10. While in Miami, you should look for a CCO so that you can get it for an even cheaper price. :) One of my favorite neutral shades is Handwritten. It's a nice color for a brown smokey eye!
